I’m not really sure if any place is far enough away from your past to ever really be safe.
The past is a dangerous place.
Lately, I have been going there way too often–but there is nowhere else to go.

I don’t remember the last time we spoke.
Can you believe that?
All those nights where I wondered how I would ever go one night without hearing your voice.
Now I can’t even remember the last time we spoke.
All those nights after you left me feeling like I’d never be able to love again.
Now I can’t even remember the last time we spoke.
You used to say our love was once in a lifetime.
But now I can’t even remember the last time we spoke.
Now everything feels like it happened a lifetime ago.

It’s funny how I used to think i’d always miss you  (via beautifullytragicloveaffair)
When everything was over,
I asked you why it all got so fucked up.
“I don’t know.”
It’s all you could say.
“You didn’t try hard enough for us to work out.”
That was a lie.
But I believed you and I cried.
You broke me into pieces,
but I still tried.
And somewhere I still saw good in you.
But you were way to blind to see how much I loved you.
Now I know that I was too blind. ‘Cause I loved you so much… but I should have loved myself more.

Now I know the real you (via beautifullytragicloveaffair)
The past is never where you think you left it.
